In this episode, we discuss the illusion of explanatory depth, confirmation bias, and who we trust to give us facts vs. opinions. With so much content being created and consumed daily - Who do we listen to? Who do we trust? Why do we trust them? And do we give more weight to empirical evidence or personal experiences?
Most recently a man by the name of Andrew Tate took the internet by storm mostly because of his falsehoods and our desire for polarizing content. There is an inherent complexity in discussing the likes of Andrew Tate but are there pieces we can all agree with? The reality is that we often don't have the tools or even channels/spaces to have an informed discussion on the topic.
